The City Council and Mayor of Orlando recently approved construction of a new sports arena and new performing arts center in downtown Orlando.  These will be world class, premier facilities well equipped to host local, state and regional events.  The combined construction costs exceed $400 million.  Construction is slated to commence in late 2008.
